Johan Åberg is a Swedish entrepreneur, advisor, and author best known as the co-author of the management book Megadeals, written with Christopher Engman.
The book explores the complex world of large-scale B2B transactions — defined as deals exceeding $10 million — and details a structured approach combining sales, account-based marketing, and social selling.
Åberg is the founder and CEO of Next State, a Stockholm-based consultancy established in 2009. The agency specializes in helping B2B companies win significant deals by integrating sales and marketing strategies. He frequently advises boards, CEOs, and owners on scaling their businesses and winning larger deals. He is also a keynote speaker on topics such as personal branding and successful B2B sales.
Beyond Megadeals, he has authored other business titles, including Vinn större affärer ("Win Bigger Deals").
Before his career in B2B consulting, Åberg had a successful tenure in the music industry as a producer and songwriter. During the late 1990s and early 2000s, he co-wrote and produced international hits for major artists, including Christina Aguilera (notably "Come On Over Baby"), Cher, and Jessica Simpson. He later transitioned into artist management before focusing entirely on B2B entrepreneurship and advisory.
